The J.Laverack Experience

Buying a J.Laverack is more than buying a bike. Each bike is commissioned to your requirements and we employ a no compromise mantra to offer the best advice.
Take full advantage of our expertise by visiting us for a test ride and bike fit.

BOOK A TEST RIDE

Visit J.Laverack Bicycles at their HQ and showroom in Oakham, Rutland and experience their bikes on the roads and tracks that inspired the range.

Take advantage of our tried and tested 30, 60 or 90 minute GPS guided test loops to experience our award winning bikes and take in some of Rutland finest terrain.

Each of our test loops has been designed to give you a balance of mixed roads, or tracks if riding a GRiT or Contour, as well as climbs and descents allowing you to immerse yourself fully and experience the enviable ride qualities of a J.Laverack.

What to bring with you

Bringing your favoured bike with you allows us to replicate your current riding position onto one of our demo bikes. This means you can test our bikes for their ride characteristics whilst enjoying a position you are already familiar with.

In addition to this we would recommend bringing your usual cycling kit including; shoes, helmet and pedals if they are not Shimano SPD, SPD SL or Look designs. Please note that a cycle helmet is required for any test ride.

ARRANGE A BESPOKE BIKE FIT

Take advantage of our in-house expert knowledge to create your perfect bespoke bike. Where possible we recommend a bike fit with our qualified in-house bike fitter who has over 7 years of experience.

What can you expect?

A comprehensive bike fit and rider focussed session in a relaxed environment. Everything starts with a short discussion over a coffee (or tea) where we can discuss your cycling history, injuries and aspirations for your new bike.

Moving onto our fully adjustable Shimano bike fit jig we glean the perfect riding position for you, focusing on;

  • Saddle height
  • Saddle setback
  • Handlebar position
  • Bar reach
  • Bar drop
The fundamentals of every bike fit

We believe three elements are fundamental to getting the most from your own cycling experience.

Comfort – This really is the foundation of any bike fit, a comfortable position will allow you to ride for longer, free from any pain.

Efficiency – Riding in the correct position for your body will without doubt allow you to ride with greater efficiency, both longer and faster.

Performance – Once the comfort and efficiency elements of your bike fit have been dialled in, then performance will follow.

In simple terms; Comfort + Efficiency = Performance
