We make bikes to ride, whatever the weather, whatever the time of year. And this cold and foggy November morning was no exception. As our owners started to gather for the inaugural J.Laverack owners club’ ride, our normally serene showroom was a hive of activity. With the fire roaring in the background our owners excitedly share tales of their adventures aboard their J.Laverack bikes.
Delicious pre-ride energy bars along with copious cups of coffee courtesy of J.ACK owner, Matt Poole and his events company MyShout, fueled our riders for the 34 miles of beautiful Rutland scenery ahead of them.
The ensemble of J.Laverack bikes consisting of J.ACK’s, R J.ACK’s and GRiT’s headed north towards the villages of Ashwell and Wissendine. The beautiful Launde Abbey marks the halfway point and our riders are greeted by the welcome sight of the coffee truck.
As our riders depart the halfway point the fog starts to lift, and the sun makes a brief appearance. The promise of cake ushers our riders to the end but not before they tackle the highest point of our route.
With the final climb out of the way our riders enjoy the descent into Oakham and head back to the warmth of the showroom. With cake and coffee in hand, and new friendships forged, our riders reflect on the morning’s ride.
